Meet our Optician

Hi, I'm Jeff Sarasola, a Cuban American born and raised in Miami! I have a BA with Florida International University, as well as an AS in the Miami Dade College of Medicine.
How long have you worked in the Optical industry & what would you consider to be your favorite part about it?
Optical work runs in my blood!!! My mother owned an optical business in Coral Gables for over 25 years and I developed an interest in the optical industry as I grew up! My favorite part of being an optician would have to be when I have the ability to fix, repair, and tweak glasses for a customer, especially when a customer casually walks in to the store and they don’t expect me to offer the service; my reason being that it always puts a smile on the customers face when they realize that I was able to make their 1 year old glasses look as brand new as possible!
When did you start working as an Optician at Quay?
I have been with Quay since August of 2021. The fun, laid back, and transparent culture of Quay is very refreshing. My favorite pair of Quay’s lately has been the On the Fly in Black and Orange! When I wear them, I feel like I can dodge bullets like Neo in the Matrix.
